At Rio, you can be involved in training small- to medium-sized dogs across more than 10 breeds.
We work daily on training while respecting each breed’s characteristics and, most importantly, the personality of each individual dog.
The greatest appeal is the dogs in our store! I find great reward in building trust through training and watching them grow afterward.
By proposing solutions to store staff concerns and anxieties, I’ve seen improvements not only in the dogs but in the overall store atmosphere.
I’m happy that we can create a place where everyone involved—customers and staff alike—can feel “I’m glad I came here,” and this work also helps me improve my own skills.
I feel very fortunate to work in an environment where I can grow happily while being surrounded by adorable dogs every day.

Interview 2

I aim to give each dog a cut that brings out their individual charm.
When customers see a freshly groomed dog and say “So cute!” I feel rewarded knowing I helped highlight that dog’s appeal.
Grooming care like trimming and nail clipping is also an important communication time with each dog. I find ways suited to each dog and think about how to help them overcome what they dislike; watching a dog move from discomfort to acceptance is very fulfilling.
Caring for life has its challenges, but talking with customers and conveying a dog’s charm through grooming is extremely enjoyable and rewarding every day. ♥

Working at Rio and meeting many dogs, customers, and wonderful colleagues has become an irreplaceable treasure for me.
I approach my work with gratitude toward customers, dogs, and staff, and carry the responsibility of caring for lives. I always think about “how can we delight customers?” and “how can we make dogs feel safe?” and try to deliver a comfortable time.
I want to continue supporting the precious time between customers and dogs and help create moments full of smiles.
I also want to build a warm space where customers, dogs, and staff alike can feel “I’m happy to be here.” ♥

Before joining Rio I worked in a completely different industry and had almost no knowledge about animals.
Even so, the seniors at Rio carefully taught me about dogs. Besides learning about animals, Rio is great because you can gain experience in various tasks such as customer service, social media management, and creating POP materials.
Because this job involves living beings, there are of course many unseen challenges, but it’s a workplace full of reward, and I’m happy working every day surrounded by cute dogs!

The appeal of working on Instagram and TikTok is the freedom to express creativity. On TikTok, making short videos featuring dogs, cats, and trends allows us to connect with many viewers.
Viewer feedback is immediate, so you can quickly gauge how much your idea resonates—this is a major attraction. Gaining new fans through self-expression and feeling personal growth are strong motivators. Above all, the warmth of the community is my main support and greatest joy!
